The WGEI Chair and Secretariat attended the XXIII INCOSAI that was held from 23rd to 27th September 2019 in Moscow, Russia. (You can access INCOSAI documents here – https://incosai2019.ru/en/documents/open)
The Congress endorsed two WGEI products namely the Briefing Note on the Role of SAIs in the Governance of Extractive Industries, and the Training Framework for Extractive Industries. (Access the products here: Briefing Note & Training Framework) The products were displayed at the KSC booth together with the WGEI Journal (https://wgei.intosaicommunity.net/wgei-journal) which is a compilation of all WGEI Newsletters since 2015.
WGEI held a Steering Committee meeting along the side-lines of the INCOSAI, and the Secretariat met with representatives from the various INTOSAI regional Secretariats about collaborating in Extractive Industries.
