{"id":6038,"date":"2024-12-06T15:25:27","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T09:55:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wgei.intosaicommunity.net\/?p=6038"},"modified":"2024-12-06T15:25:27","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T09:55:27","slug":"5th-itp-on-audit-of-extractive-industries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wgei.intosaicommunity.net\/ar\/5th-itp-on-audit-of-extractive-industries\/","title":{"rendered":"5th ITP on Audit of Extractive Industries"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The International Centre for Environment Audit and Sustainable Development (iCED), Jaipur; the Global Training Facility (GTF) is organizing an <strong>International Training Programme on \u201cAudit of Extractive Industries\u201d<\/strong>, a joint collaboration between the SAI, India and INTOSAI-WGEI in two parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Part I:<\/strong>&nbsp;Online from 06.01.2025 to 10.01.2025(5 days), focusing on Module 1 (An Overview of Extractive Industries) and Module 2 (Policy, Legal and Institutional Framework).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Part II:<\/strong>&nbsp;Onsite from 03.03.2025 to 07.03.2025(5 days), covering Module 4 (Awards of Contracts and Licenses) and Module 8 (Environment and Sustainable Development) at International Centre for Environment Audit and Sustainable Development (iCED), Jaipur, India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of conducting this training in a mixed mode is to provide a foundational understanding during&nbsp;<strong>Part-I (Online) <\/strong>and to focus on advanced topics with real-time experiences and hands-on exercises during&nbsp;<strong>Part-II (physical mode).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, SAIs are encouraged to nominate participants for both parts simultaneously. If SAIs wish to nominate participants only for&nbsp;<strong>Part-I (online)<\/strong>, they may do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, participation in&nbsp;<strong>Part-I is mandatory<\/strong>&nbsp;for those attending&nbsp;<strong>Part-II<\/strong>, as the modules are sequential and build upon the content covered in the virtual session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nomination forms for <strong>Part-I <\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>Part-II<\/strong>&nbsp;have been enclosed separately:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>For those wishing to participate only in&nbsp;<strong>Part-I<\/strong>, the corresponding nomination form should be filled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For participation in&nbsp;<strong>Part-II<\/strong>, the nomination form for Part-II should be submitted along with a copy of the participant\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>passport<\/strong>. Participation in Part I is mandatory for participating in Part II.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The last date for receiving the nomination is 27<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;December 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We request your SAI to send nominations for participants to attend this training programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, please find attached an invitation letter for participation, <strong>jointly signed by&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Mr. Girish Chandra Murmu, Comptroller and Auditor General of India&nbsp;and&nbsp;Mr. Edward Akol, Auditor General of Uganda as the Chair of INTOSAI WGEI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is requested that the filled in nomination forms be mailed well in time.
